President Letter/upcoming events

Hello Chapter #2801 members,

 I hope you are all having a great kickoff to spring! Upcoming events include monthly chapter meeting, AORN Expo, ballot nominations/voting, and the awards dinner.

The April 9th Chapter meeting will be held at Legends Bar and Grill 6920 Pacific St. Social hour 5:30, Mtg 6:30, and presentation at 7:00. This month we have Alexis Svendsen from Milestone Medical discussing Specimen Handling: Reducing risk of formalin exposure for 2 CEUs. At this meeting we will be nominating/voting for chapter positions. Please consider serving.

We also have the AORN Global Surgical Conference & Expo in Boston, April 5-8 with multiple members attending.

Lastly, we are accepting nominations for Physician, Vendor Representative, and Nurse of the year for our May Awards meeting. Please send us a quick summary of why you think your nominee deserves the award. There are so many that do great things, this is a chance to recognize them.

We continue to work with the new communication platform and website. Hopefully you are all receiving email notifications. More updates to come soon.
